History:

Institute of vaccinces and biological substances 2 Dalat (DAVAC) was established in 23rd November 1978. Its predecessor was Dalat pasteur institute founed in 1936.

Functions and tasks:

- Researching and applying the evolution of science and technology in production of vaccine and biological substances to meet the need of immunization through the country.
- Collaborating and cooperating with the domestic and international organizations in researching the production of vaccines, serum and biological substances to expand the production and upgrade the quality of products. This meets the needs of use in the country, and exports.
- Participating the education and training (graduation and postgraduation).
