- Researching the health
strategies and policies; providing the scientiffic evidence to
lay the foundation for forcast, which helps to make and add
the health strategies and policies.
- Researching the health strategy, policy, socialisation, law
and related social sciences (health economy, psychotry and
medical humanization).
- International cooperation: Designing the cooperation with
regional and international institutes and organizations for
training, exchanging experiences and studying.

activities:
There are more ten of National and
international themes are implemented. Some of them as follows:
- Planning and developing the
desease prevention network in the whole country during
2001-2010.
- Planning and developing the health network in Ha Noi during
2001-2010
- Planning and developing the health network in Gia Lai during
2001-2010
- Making the strategy for the food safety, hygience and
quality especially the theme called "Study on situation
and making the models of health socialization for assuring the
equality and efficacy in people health protection and
care".
Health socialization is to
identify properly the resposibilities, obligation and right of
authorities, organizations, social and political institutions
and individuals in the people health protection and care
activities aiming mobilization of resources: manpower,
finance, material for this activities.
. General aims: making the models
of the health socialization to mobilize the resources for
fairly and effective people health protection and care.
. Specific aims:
The primary health care services
and the basic health care are delivered to everyone,
especially the poor population contents:
- The models of interfields
between social and public institutions in people health
protection and care.
- The models of the health services: public, private,
public-private cooperation and foreign investment.
- The models of mobilization of financial resources.
- The models of the health protection and care for poor
population, penrsons with priorities and persons who
contributed in the country defence and buiding cause.
International
cooperation:
+ Health system research program
(HSRP) and epidermological field in Ba Vi, Viet Nam.
This program is carried out by
cooperation between HSPI (Viet Nam) and the international
health institution (IHCAR), Karolinska institute of stockhon
(Swidden)
The aims of HSRP:
- The definition and methods of
Health system research are applied in to Viet Nam through the
training courses, conferences, meeting and studies.
- Contributing in making the policies for the health
renovation.
- Strengthen the study ability of researcher in HSPI and the
medical university.
- Developing the epidermological field in Ba Vi. This field
facility is member of the international epidermological field
system.
- Implementing the studies in 5 sectors: epidermiology during
interim, reproductive health, fairly in consultation and
treatment, tuberculosis and gender.
Training
and researching in five sectors:
- Reproductive health: 6
researchers (2Ph.D and 4 M.S)
- Epidermiology in interim: 12 researcher (3Ph.D and 9 M.S)
- Pharmacy: 4 researchers (1 Ph.D and 3 M.S)
- Fair in health: 6 researchers (2Ph.D and 4 M.S)
- Tuberculosis and gender: 2 researchers (2Ph.D)
Epidermology field:
- Covering 32 communities
including 55000 inhabitant and 12000 family.
- Serveys in health and population (every 2 years) and in
epidermiology (quartely).
- Supporting 30 Vietnamese researchers and 4 foreign
researchers

+ Injury control and the security public making program in
Viet Nam: This program has been developed since 1996 and
supported by the international development organization of
Swidden (SIDA). With aim as follows: Controlling and reducing
injuries and accident step by step in all socio-economic
sectors such as transport, production, accomodation, school,
public areas ... etc... assurring the life, assets for people
to contribute to sustainable development.
Program's targets:
- Evaluating the situation of
injury in experimented locality
- Implementing the solutions for reducing injuries.
- Making the models of organizational structure and
activities.
- Submitting the national policies for controlling injuries.
