History:
The Hue national hospital was
established in 1994. It was the first western hospital in Viet
Nam. It is one of the three biggest hospitals in Viet Nam.

buildings, many of which is out of date (> 100 years).
The Hue National hospital is
located in the central region of Viet Nam with 87.000 square
km and 11,5.106 rehabitants.

Cadres can apply and develope the new medical techniques that
catch with two big centers in Ha Noi capital and Ho Chi Minh
city.

2000 kind (regardless the common equipment), most of them are
donated from government or non-government organization.
- Equipment system: ununiform.
- Quality of equipments: good in
the short-term but is not good in the long-term because of
ununiform.

The technique development:
Beside
of techniques of 1 st grade National hospital, the Hue National
hospital develops the high techniques as standards of the deep
health center including:
- Developing the antificial kidney (1982) and kidney transplant
(2001)
- Close heart surgery (1986) and open heart surgery (1999) with
300 cases/week.
- Installing the device for sustainable artificial pacemaker
(1996), cardiac catherter, stent insert and coronary by pass.
- Interventive endoscope and endoscopic surgery (1996) in
gastrointestinal tract, injury, plastic surgery, urogenital
tract and pregnacy and maternal aspects.
- Center for hematology and blood transfusion: implement almost
of modern techniques in the safety of blood transfusion (HBsAg,
HBsCg, HBsCg, HIV... etc). In addition to, this center
participates to training, professional guiding and will develope
the marrow transplant.
- Pregnancy and maternal section: training the M.D, M.S and Ph.D
and guiding profession in central region and central highland in
reproductive health care.
- Paraclinical section: implementing almost of modern
techniques.
